Rewriting the math story.

A math specialist for neurodivergent and math-anxious students.

I'm Corey. For as long as I've been teaching, I've worked with kids who were sure they were "just not a math person." They've usually carried that belief for years, sat through tutors who didn't stick, and by the time they reach me, math is the subject they dread. Reaching those kids, and rewriting that story, is the work I care about most.

I have helped students as young as 5 and up through college-level calculus, with a particular specialty in working with neurodivergent students, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and executive functioning challenges. Not drilling harder or pushing faster. It all starts with understanding how a particular student's brain works, finding where the story went sideways, and slowly rebuilding it. That takes trust and a real relationship, which is why there's no single path or premade solution for any kid. I build a plan with you as a team, and it starts with talking, for free, because that's what it takes.

The goal isn't just a better grade. It's a student who stops believing math is the thing they can't do.

How I Work

Rewriting the math narrative together.

My whole approach is built for the neurodivergent and math-anxious student.  Here's the arc we move through together.

Relationship

We start by making math feel safe again — no judgment, no rushing. When the fear drops, the brain can finally do the work. This means I work on relationship building first, so they know I care.

Reframe/Rebuild

We find the specific missing pieces underneath the struggle and rebuild the foundation by translating everything into a language they can understand.

Build Confidence

Once the foundation is there, we train on real questions. We practice tests, projects, and real world situations. This is also the time when we might move to group sessions.

"Corey helped tremendously! I failed algebra 1 Freshman year, and this year, after Corey’s help, I retook it and passed with flying colors. Thanks to Corey helping me on all my weaknesses and strengthening my Math skills. I would say Corey is A very kind, and patient individual that will help you in multiple different ways that could help you understand whatever you are working on."
